Modelling in Ireland

modelling in irelandWhen it comes to modelling, location is critical and the closer you are to a big city, the better. In cities, you’ll be able to meet modelling agencies for interviews, attend castings and be available and short notice for modelling work that arises and needs a quick turnaround.

For modelling in Ireland you should be living near the big city centres, such as Dublin or Cork. Most modelling work and related industries will be concentrated in the major city centres and being closer means you’ll be able to take advantage of the expertise and skills of the bets professionals.

Being too far away may mean that the investments of time and expense on travelling might be off-putting and is too great an obstacle.

And even if you are willing to spend the time and money travelling, you may still be too late. The fashion industry moves very quickly and casting and modelling jobs can be filled within a matter of hours. If you’re still on the train, you’re going to miss out.

If you’re looking into modelling in Ireland, there are some modelling agencies based in Ireland, including: Morgan The Agency, Assets Models Agency and Alison Campbell Modelling Agency. These agencies may send out scouts to search the surrounding towns and even villages for new faces, but you need to be willing to visit them at their offices.

However, the majority of the internationally recognised modelling agencies are based in London, so you will have to be willing to travel there if you’re serious about breaking into modelling and want to give yourself the best start.

Modelling in Ireland will be harder than if you were based in London, but that’s not to say it’s impossible. Anywhere there is a major city centre there will be opportunities for modelling, but you really need to be within a good distance of a major city centre in order to have any chance of breaking into the industry.

If you're serious about taking your first steps as a model, then register using the form above and one of our consultants will be in touch.
